We're Made That Way

My study in psychology leads me to believe that the primary drive in humans is to experience meaning in life...to be significant for something or to someone.

My study in theology leads me to believe that we are created hard-wired with that drive. We are also hard-wired to respond to the Designer as the ultimate fulfillment of the drive. Responding to God on his terms is what the four responsibilities of 2 Chronicles 7:14 are all about.

My experience in life leads me to think that most of us spin our wheels doing almost everything but respond to God in a search for significance. Development of wealth and power are the usual areas where a lot of rubber is burned.

But, seeking God over self in the pursuit of significance comes down to a decision for which each of us has responsibility. He waits. What will your decision be?
