June 2026

June 1
You are at peace. Unusual, is it not? Your usual reaction to these challenges is extreme anxiety. Do you understand what happened? I covered you. Your stress was mounting to the point of freezing your thoughts and endangering you. I intervened and soaked you with my grace. As coolness comes when water is splashed on a fire, so soothing peace comes as my grace covers you. Next, I brought you into the presence of a praying friend to whom I had given insight into the issues you face. His understanding brought you comfort. Then I caused you to sleep soundly and restfully. Now you are ready for the day...fresh, yielded, and conscious of my power to lead and provide. I hear your praise and thanks as I reveal all this to you. You know that I have these matters in hand...always have.

1 Chronicles 29:10-13
Then David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly:  “O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, may you be praised forever and ever! Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.  O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name!

June 2
You asked how to pray when the way forward seems blocked. Your prayer must become a confession of truth—the truth of my love for you, of my promise, my strength, my provision, my peace. As you confess truth, remember how I led you to this point. I have purpose in desert places that seem barren and pointless. You experience desperation in these places. Now you must discover desperation for me. You have avoided that discovery because it requires surrender. It is time to confess your surrender to me.
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

June 3
The matter is weighty. I know of it and of all the challenges it presents. Your sense of responsibility rises as you seek a remedy, and it consumes your thoughts. Receive the comfort and strength of My Spirit. I am the Source of all remedies. Seek me. Allow my peace to cover you. Experience the confidence of my Presence. Grasp my wisdom as it now emerges in your mind. Embrace my provision as I introduce it to meet each need. Know the freshening and strength I provide for the day. I am your God. Seek me now. You will find me. Confess the truth of my power and authority as you enter the day.
Psalm 63:1-3
O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.
Psalm 27:4
One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.

June 4
Do you remember how I led and provided for you those many years ago? You were trying so hard to find a way forward, but it was clear you were at the end of your ability and options. Even now, you recall where you were seated that evening when you asked me to take control. All your prideful “shoulds” crumbled as you realized my love and my ability to carry you. In the instant of surrender, my Spirit was at work. I brought peace and restored confidence, not in your ability but in mine. I directed you to a door you did not know was there. It opened as you approached it.
Matthew 11:28
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
John 8:31
Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.

June 5
The courage required rests on your firm grasp of all that I AM. By my power and grace, you have experienced all this. By my power and grace, I have chosen you to know me. By my power and grace, you understand that I alone am God. By my power and grace, you will move forward into my purpose. By my power and grace, you are my witness and representative. By my power and grace, you will obey my instructions. By my power and grace, you will succeed on my terms.
Isaiah 43:10
But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the LORD. You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God—there never has been, and there never will be.
Joshua 1:6-7
Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.

June 6
What are you doing sitting there? Confess what I revealed, and step into the day. I have already begun the work and prepared a place for you. There is no time to mope or delay—the door is open. Trust my forgiveness to cleanse your sin-wounds and my restoration to strengthen your step. Now, rise and follow me along the path I have laid before you.
Isaiah 43:19
For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
Isaiah 30:21
Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.

June 7
I know the journey and I know the way. I know the places to avoid and the places to rest. I know the perfect placement of each next step. Remember this. I do not send you on the journey; I walk each step with you, endowing you with my wisdom, knowledge, strength, and character. So, regarding the foggy stretch just ahead that has been so prominent in your thoughts, does it not seem reasonable that I can traverse it with the same mastery as each step before it? Come close, stay there, and follow me. I will show you how.
Psalms 77:19
Your road led through the sea, your pathway through the mighty waters—a pathway no one knew was there!
Matthew 7:7-8
Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
Isaiah 65:24
I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!

June 8
I have long taught you that you are a caretaker of my resources and possessions. Why do you not ask me about their disposition? It is as if you recognize my authority over segments of your life and holdings yet withhold other segments at your discretion. If you are to know my will and favor, it is necessary that you surrender all into my hands and continually seek my intent for life and the use of what I have entrusted to you. Return to my Presence, confessing and repenting. Receive my forgiveness and experience my restoration in peace and confidence.
1 Timothy 6:17
As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.
Colossians 1:16
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.
Psalm 24:1-2
The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.

June 9
Transitions are part of this journey… moving from one major context to the next. The difficulty rises when patterns of life must also change. You have become familiar with the tools I directed you to use for this part of the assignment, and you have come to depend on them. Letting go of something you hold so tightly is frightening. It is a matter of dependency and where it is placed. Release your attachment to a set of tools and fix your dependence on me. I carried you through one context of life, and I am carrying you into the next. Trust me.
Isaiah 40:31
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Ecclesiastes 3:1
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven…
Psalm 37:5
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.

June 10
Wisdom is to be sought from me. It is freely given, accompanied by peace and confidence in a Spirit-to-spirit transmission directly from me to you. You need only ask. I provide it in the same measure as your surrender is offered to me. Come humbly surrendered into my Presence, intentionally seeking to know my way, and confessing and turning from sin. Here is the reality of following me. You cannot surrender and not surrender. You cannot follow and not follow. I love you more than you can imagine, and I want you to have my gifts. But I do not negotiate my expectations.
James 1:5-6
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.
1 Kings 18:21
Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent.
Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Matthew 6:24

June 11
It has never been about money, it’s plenty or it’s lack. It is about your surrender…your mind and will fully surrendered to me and my way. That condition, so simply stated and true, is the door through which all I have made available to you is discovered. Money is only a tool I allow you to use for my purpose. It is also a trip hazard for you. In plenty, it feeds your pride and self-indulgence. In lack, it feeds your insecurity and fear. As a Spirit-directed tool in your surrendered hand, it is like a fine brush to an artist, producing beauty, light, and life. Trust me with your surrender.
Matthew 10:21-22
Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
At this the man’s face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions.

June 12
I am actively leading you. You learned that staying near me, remaining close, and following my instructions precisely are the keys to our journey together. Your awareness of me has never been in question, and your belief in me has grown steadily since your investment of faith many years ago. But following me on my terms, while acknowledged as a responsibility, is more difficult. Seek me as your Source in the following, as well as in the believing. I am your Creator. I am your Commander. I am your Shelter. And I am your Guide.
Psalms 73:28
But as for me, how good it is to be near God!  I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.

June 13
There are times when our journey will take us directly into the face of the wind. This is one of them. You feel its force and hear its roar. Its strength distracts you, and the next step is unclear. Fear and a sense of helplessness have become your focus, leaving you unable to act effectively. I am here. I am shielding you from the wind. I am rebooting your thoughts. I am moving for you. I am demonstrating my power in you and through you. I am clearing the way. Trust me. Expect me.
Romans 8:26-27
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.
2 Kings 6:15-16
When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha.
“Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!”
Then Elisha prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes and let him see!” The LORD opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.

June 14
It is a season when evil rises in places least expected. Your self-initiated emotional reaction is almost always ineffective and causes unnecessary damage. The enemy counts on that as part of his strategy. Your responsibility is to remain alert in my Presence, responding thoughtfully and obediently only at my direction—a Spirit-directed response. Your emotions will target the dust being stirred. My response will address the source of the dust and will be beyond your ability to engage apart from my Presence and power. In moments of emotion, seek me. Allow my Spirit to calm you and instruct you. I will show you the way through this. Trust me.
1 Peter 1:13
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 6:10-12
A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

June 15
Good morning. You have reached the decision point again. Here you decide to follow me today, in these quiet moments before your responsibilities ramp up. Your mind is already distracted as you entertain the demands of life and the roles you play, each with its own expectations. Allow my Spirit to bring your thoughts back to me as you consider the path you will take. Remember my promises and my warnings. I will never force them upon you, but I consistently keep them present, urging you toward me. The decision is yours. Who will you be today?
James 3:17
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
Proverbs 18:15
An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

June 16
Keep the matter of concern before me. Have I not instructed you to persist in prayer? I have purpose in the trying issue, in the prayer I direct, and in the resolution that will come. Invest your faith in me, not in what you think I may do or when I may act. Your responsibility is to remain humbly surrendered in my Presence. If I wish you to act in some manner, I will cause you to know in precise terms. For now, stay near and pray.
Luke 18:1
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.
1 John 5:14-15
And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

June 17
The stillness of these moments is my gift to you. Experience my peace and comfort. Allow my Spirit to touch your mind and freshen it with the excellence of my Words…”be still and know.”  The day will start soon enough. For now, rest in the knowledge that I have ordered it. You need only follow me through it, consciously near me.
Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

June 18
I lead you according to my purpose in the task assigned you. At times I provide answers before you even ask. At other times, I direct you to ask, sometimes persist, before I act. At times, I lead you over time through a process of discovery. All of it is for the expansion of my influence in and through you. I know you tend to view each issue as urgent. Remember, it all belongs to me, and it is mine to restore in my time. Your job is to follow, even if I direct you to engage in an extended process that you do not fully comprehend.
Joshua 6:13-16
The seven priests with the rams’ horns marched in front of the Ark of the Lord, blowing their horns. Again the armed men marched both in front of the priests with the horns and behind the Ark of the Lord. All this time the priests were blowing their horns. On the second day they again marched around the town once and returned to the camp. They followed this pattern for six days.  On the seventh day the Israelites got up at dawn and marched around the town as they had done before. But this time they went around the town seven times. The seventh time around, as the priests sounded the long blast on their horns, Joshua commanded the people, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the town!

June 19
You asked about influence. It is necessary that you follow me closely— so closely, so intentionally, so precisely, so consistently, that when another man looks for you, they see me. And, when he looks for me, he sees you. You must be my representative and a reflection of my character and culture. I do not expect you to be perfect. I expect you to be surrendered in my Presence. There is where you experience life as I intend it. I will direct and provide the wherewithal to meet my expectations on my terms. That is how influence works.
Mark 1:17
Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”

June 20
Your assignment includes interaction with the world, a reality that, if left unattended, will dull your sense of responsibility to me. It is important that I examine your faith to ensure it is consistently maintained in accordance with my direction. My Spirit is examining the faith practices I have taught you—prayer and its frequency, the reading and study of my Word, true private and corporate worship, deeper reflection on my character and culture, the discipline of your physical self, forgiveness of others, and gratitude for my goodness and grace. Confess what I reveal about your faith culture, receive my forgiveness, and embrace my restoration.
John 1:4
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Ephesians 6:13
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

June 21
You are carrying the weight of this situation unnecessarily. Yes, it is serious and needs a remedy, but that remedy is mine to design and apply to the hearts of those involved. I have given you insight. Now your role is to stand watch and pray. This matter has distracted you. Bring your attention back to me. Trust that I am already at work. Pray it. Expect me.
Psalm 94:19
When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.
Psalm 55:22
Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

June 22

Always remember that you learned more about me when I led you into situations beyond your control. So it is with those around you. You will never know all their stories or the challenges they face, but you do know me. And you know how I love them and you. Show those in your circle of influence how to listen to me, not what you think they should do. I will take care of the rest.
Isaiah 30:20-22
Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, he will still be with you to teach you.  You will see your teacher with your own eyes.  Your own ears will hear him.  Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.  Then you will destroy all your silver idols and your precious gold images. You will throw them out like filthy rags, saying to them, “Good riddance!”

June 23
You were taken aback by evidence of evil in an unexpected place. It should not surprise you. Have I not taught you that this is the natural way of the world? On its edges, evil is always alluring and readily rationalized. Your responsibility is not to react to evil but to respond under the direction of my Spirit as a representative of my Way. First and always, return to my Presence so your alertness remains acute. Confess the distractions I reveal. Act only as I direct to expand my Culture within the appointed range of your influence. I will show you how.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.
1Peter 5:8-9
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith…

June 25
All this time, I have been teaching you my way. It is contrary to what you had known and what you had observed as the way to success. In fact, I have given you a new definition— I am your success. I am your strength. I am your confidence. I am your way. I am the truth. I am your life. You receive these benefits in my presence. Live there. That is what I mean when I say 'Follow me'. Move through your life in my presence, at my hand. Move as I move. Be positioned to hear my voice in your spirit. It is real. Trust me.
2 Samuel 22:33-37
God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.  He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights.  He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow.  You have given me your shield of victory; your help has made me great.  You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.

June 26
As you learned to follow me on my terms, you discovered that my words are plainly understood. The impressions of my Spirit to yours, interpreted through your mind into actionable thought, are clear. It remains for you to choose my input into your mind over many other options. It is an act of your will. I will draw you to me, but the decision to surrender to my draw—to take up your position next to me—is yours. It must be renewed daily, sometimes moment-to-moment. As you make that choice, you choose that which is of more value than the greatest earthly treasure, and the wonder of my Presence surrounds you.
Proverbs 8:9-11
My words are plain to anyone with understanding, clear to those with knowledge.  Choose my instruction rather than silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold.  For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies.  Nothing you desire can compare with it.

June 27
Just as a fire requires a continuous supply of fuel to fulfill its purpose, so you require my continuous presence to effectively conduct your assignment. Part of the territory ahead lies in spiritual darkness. You and others will bring my light. Expect resistance from the darkness, but do not fear it or turn from it. Follow me into it, humbly surrendered, always remembering the lesson of the flame—fuel is required. Your fuel is my divine power, supplied by my Spirit. It will never be diminished.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
Psalm 91:9-11
Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
Philippians 4:6-8
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

May 2026

May 1
Memory of what has occurred is one of my gifts designed into you. It provides framing and meaning in a reflective moment. But the greater value of memories lies in the navigational basis they provide for forward movement on our journey. You know of my work, my power, my wisdom, and my acts that surpass anything you could have imagined. Now look forward, thanking me for what has been and, more importantly, what will be. There is much work to do, and I will reveal it to you, as always, one step at a time.
Jeremiah 32:17-20
O Sovereign LORD! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you! You show unfailing love to thousands, but you also bring the consequences of one generation’s sin upon the next. You are the great and powerful God, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. You have all wisdom and do great and mighty miracles. You see the conduct of all people, and you give them what they deserve. You performed miraculous signs and wonders in the land of Egypt—things still remembered to this day! And you have continued to do great miracles in Israel and all around the world. You have made your name famous to this day.

May 2
I sent word to you through a friend about your petition to encourage and assure you. Hold to that assurance and focus your attention on me, not the solutions you seek. Your only job is to remain humbly surrendered in my presence, always ready to respond to my prompting under my specific direction. The longer you embrace that understanding, the more you will learn about me and my way. You will also find it natural to lay aside your long-practiced tendency to do my work in your own power.
Psalm 16:5-8
LORD, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine. The land you have given me is a pleasant land. What a wonderful inheritance! I will bless the LORD who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
2 Chronicles 7:14
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

May 3
I know that you truly desire the full measure of my benefit, and I favor that in you. I also know that your faith, though growing, remains frail and easily shaken by the circumstances of life that arise. The tension in you is between the reality of responsibilities and your inability to identify adequate resources to meet them. That tension is my tool in your life, for you must learn that I am the resource for those needs, not you or your ability. Come close to me. Ask me. Depend upon me. Focus upon me. I will not fail you. I will show you how to proceed.
James 1:5-6
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.

May 4
That for which you hope is gained with focus upon me. Maintaining that focus is gained by the act of My Spirit in you. The unfocused life is a drifting hulk. The self-focused life is off course and will become lost in a vast sea of circumstance and distraction. The Spirit-focused life is my grace gift to one who comes to me believing and in surrendered humility and repentance. I in you, right with God, pure, holy, wisdom itself, free from sin—there is the focus point. My glory is your good.
1 Corinthians 1:30-31
God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.”
John 15:5
Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

May 5
The intent of your heart is never hidden from me, and I am never distracted from it. You are focused on doing and accomplishment and riding the tides of joy and sorrow. I am focused on your intent to honor me with surrendered humility and repentance. When I see it, I honor you with my favor. So it is that I have opened a door for you that will not close. I am guiding you through it. Seek me not the solution. You will experience the mystery and wonder of my touch.
Revelation 3:8
I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.
Psalm 51:17
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

May 6
It is my gift, entrusted to you and conducted by my Spirit for my purpose in and through you. I have made you aware of it, and you are accustomed to my power through it. Just as I gave it and empowered it, so may I suspend it should I find it poorly attended. As a steward of my gift, you have no basis to claim it as your own or to use it apart from my purpose. The experience of my power requires that you be holy in my Presence. Invite my examination of your motive and respond with confession and repentance accordingly.
1 Corinthians 12:7-11
To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

May 7
Your ambition must be surrendered to my majesty. That requires a decision. You know my promises, and you have experienced my power exercised in and through you. But “shoulds” find their way into your mind and leave you with a sense of entitlement. You drift into what is fair or unfair based on who you think you are. So, I remind you that this journey is not about you. It is about my culture and purpose—the expansion of my rule. I will wait for your decision.
Isaiah 46:9-10
Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.

May 8
Belief, faith, trust, love, peace, dependence—core elements of my way, so easily abandoned in the face of responsibilities and expectations placed on you. Even so, you understand their great value and seek them. Yet you seek them from your self-view of cultural respectability, wisdom, and capability. You are stuck trying to impress the world and me, which creates a frustrating bind. A choice is required. Confess and repent of your fear and pride. Allow my Spirit to teach you afresh the childlike manner I honor. You will find it transforming, and the benefits of my way will rise in you along with wisdom, capability, and respect.
Matthew 22:25-26
At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way!

May 9
My call and promise require your singleness of mind. So many things swirl around you, each designed to draw your attention away from me. I know the struggle of your heart, and I will settle it. Stop now and invite the power of my Spirit to clean and refine those frayed edges and the fear they harbor. Confess your need and trust that I will meet it. I will hear you. I will forgive you. And I will restore you.
Matthew 6:24
No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Mark 12:30
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

May 10
I will provide the discernment needed for this part of our journey. You will soon see the path split into three, each appearing similar and appropriate. Prepare now for that moment of decision. Practice seeking me intently and learn to recognize my voice. I will make the right decision clear when the moment comes, and you will proceed confidently in faith, prompted by my Spirit.
John 7:24
Look beneath the surface so you can judge correctly.
Isaiah 11:3
He will delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay.
Mark 16:17
Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being.

May 11
Think of those who have encouraged you… the warmth and confidence you felt as a result of their actions. Those memorable moments have become important parts of your journey, to which you return again and again. Thank me for them. As I guided each of them to place that blessing into your life, so I guide you to bless others. It is an exercise in selflessness and genuine care… my love through you. When you are close to me, it will seem natural. As your receipt of encouragement altered the way you conducted your day, so will your encouragement alter another’s. Follow me closely as I teach you more about the transforming power of love.
Hebrews 10:24-25
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another…

May 12
You have correctly identified a spiritual attack. The strength required does not begin with force of personality, your intellect, or religious activity, but with abiding in me. As I have long taught you, apart from me you can do nothing. Ask my Spirit to reposition you in my Presence. Seek humility, repentance, and attentiveness to my Spirit. The struggle is won first internally as you surrender to my power. Resist the temptation to act independently of me. Only then are you prepared to act, and that only at my direction.
Ephesians 6:12-13
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
John 15:5
Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

May 13
I call you to stand firm in truth and character on the foundation of belief and faith. I equip you with truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and my Word. I empower you by my indwelling Spirit. I direct you to stand in my Presence through constant prayer. In all this, my Nature rises within you and around you. So you stand, not in your own strength or initiative, but in mine, to present my culture of integrity, forgiveness, courage, self-control, and sacrificial love in a fractured world.
Ephesians 6:14-17
Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

May 14
I call you to intercede with me in prayer on behalf of human needs—yours and others’. Prayer is both the conduit into my presence and the means of communication between us. I direct you to pray, not passively or by happenstance, but constantly and intentionally. Come humbly, surrendered into my presence, seeking my will for people—individuals, families, cities, leaders, and nations. In so doing, your will is conformed to mine, and your thoughts are directed by My Spirit. I have already told you that I will hear, that I will forgive, and that I will restore according to my purpose.
2 Chronicles 7:14-15
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.

 May 15
I have made my assignment and your responsibility clear, and I am guiding you forward. It is very important that you keep your attention on me rather than on what others are doing. You know, by my promise and your experience with me, that I provide what is needed when it is needed. Stay the course. Pray for all concerned. Trust me with the outcome.
John 21:16

Jesus repeated the question: “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
“Yes, Lord,” Peter said, “you know I love you.”
“Then take care of my sheep,” Jesus said.
James 3:16-17
For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.
Philippians 2:3
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

May 16
The manner of following me that I have taught you requires that you be close...so close that you and I are seen by others as one. I have also taught you that you must remain there. It is the position for which you are designed. There, remaining in my presence, my Spirit fills you in ways I have designed and that are beyond your understanding. While you will not understand how such a thing occurs, you will know when it occurs, and your natural response in such moments is overwhelming joy and gratitude that I, who created all that is or ever will be, have sought you as the object of my love. Do not seek this filling. Rather, seek the following. I will take care of the rest.
Ephesians 5:18-20
Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

May 17
The matter you have kept before me for so long is not forgotten, nor has it been unattended. Others are involved and must come to their own points of obedience and courage. Rest your faith on the fact that I have heard your prayer. Receive my forgiveness and watch for my restoration underway. Do not neglect prayer. It keeps you honest before me. Trust. Obey. Believe. Hope. Remember. Confess. Watch. I am at work.
Luke 18:1
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.
Matthew 7:7-8
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

May 18
Take care to embrace what I am teaching you about following Me. It is good that you desire to discover My plan and purpose as it unfolds in your life. But I am teaching you that My way is not found through occasional—or even frequent—moments of checking in with Me about your progress or efforts. My way is found by living continually in My presence. For it is there, with Me—listening to Me, learning My heart, and understanding My ways—that I will assign you, direct you within the assignment, and lead you through every part of it. You are learning that following Me is not a static experience. On the contrary, there is much to do, much to learn, and much to walk through together with Me. So practice being in My presence again today. Remain with Me. Listen carefully. Walk closely. I will lead you.
2 Chronicles 18:4
Then Jehoshaphat added, “But first let’s find out what the Lord says.”

May 19
I have given you passion for many aspects of life and for your role among others, but first I gave you a command: you are to love me supremely—above every other interest in life. That command surpasses every earthly attention, including your love for family and nation. I do not bend on this point. I am the Lord your God, the one and only Lord of life and eternity. You must love me with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. And here is my promise: as you invest your love in me, I will deepen your love for your wife, your children, your grandchildren, your friends, your neighbors, and all people—even those you may think you cannot love. As my love expands through you, my influence will increase, and your nation will be strengthened. Attend carefully to my command.
Mark 12:29-31
Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”

May 20
Be careful to represent Me accurately and keep your heart fully attuned to My instruction and My way. It is easy for religion and politics to become distractions driven by human passions, each representing a firm “should” projected by its protagonists and claiming my favor for their respective positions. Remember, both are human systems that exist under My authority and are subject to My use. Your responsibility does not lie with either religion or politics. You represent Me, and you do so by the power of My Spirit within you. Seek me and attend to your assignment.
Ecclesiastes 12:10-11
The Teacher sought to find just the right words to express truths clearly. The words of the wise are like cattle prods—painful but helpful. Their collected sayings are like a nail-studded stick with which a shepherd drives the sheep.

May 21
That to which I have now assigned you requires insight I will provide. For now, the great need is for you to come near and remain in my presence without distraction, so that I may guide your thoughts and introduce you to the points of engagement I desire. You have experienced this before, and you know that I will make clear exactly what I want you to do and when it is time to do it.
Psalms 109:26-27
Help me, O Lord my God!  Save me because of your unfailing love.  Let them see that this is your doing, that you yourself have done it, Lord.

May 22
Receive the reality of my promise—the truth of my Word—before this day begins. It is too easy to shoulder what is mine to carry. You do so out of a sense of responsibility to me that I honor, but that weight is beyond your capacity apart from my strength. Stop now and receive my power and encouragement. I am here, right beside you. My arm is around your shoulder, supporting you. Step with me, not beyond me. Now, shift the weight of this task to me and move with me as I show you the way forward again today.
Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

May 23
Continue asking me to open doors in the matter you raised, knowing that I am working out my purpose in you and in others. Expand your prayer attention to include those others specifically. Among them are hearts tuned to me. Some are hurting and need encouragement. I will guide your prayer for them. Even now, I bring their faces to your mind. As they appear, ask for my touch of restoration. You do not need to know more…only that I have drawn you into my work. So, yes…expect the doors to open in the matter and prepare to move forward as I direct.
Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
Romans 8:14
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

May 24
I will guide you through the diversity of opinions and talents in the work at hand, and I will provide the wisdom required. It is not complicated. Conduct your preparation and enter the meeting both in my presence, with the simple faith in my ability that I have taught you. Pray for the people with whom you will meet. Trust me to shape all this according to my purpose.
Psalms 116:4-6
Then I called on the name of the Lord: “Please, Lord, save me!” How kind the Lord is. How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! The Lord protects those of childlike faith.
Psalms 116:9
And so I walk in the Lord’s presence as I live here on earth!

May 25  (Memorial Day)
On this day of national remembering, hold to this. All that I am building in you today has a purpose that extends beyond the matters to which you are currently assigned. As you deepen your understanding of my way, your confidence in my limitless ability, and your dependence upon my unfailing love, the influence of our relationship extends generationally to your children and grandchildren. It is how I have always done nation-building. It is how your nation may be restored in time.
Psalms 103:17-18
But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him.  His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments!
Deuteronomy 6:6-7
And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them to your children again and again. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.

May 26
Disruption of your plan troubles you. It happens easily when you hold so tightly to what you claim as yours. The discomfort will evaporate when you release your claim into my hands. It is, after all, mine—the assets, the plan for their use, the outcome for which you hope—all mine by title and authority. You are a steward of my things. Relax your grip, turn to my Presence, and confess that I am the Creator, Owner, Master, and Commander of the domain I have appointed you to govern.
Ecclesiastes 5:19
Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.
Psalm 24:1
The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein…

May 27
I touched you with a mysterious story about my dealings with a man named Jacob. Though he knew about me, he kept distance from me until the eve of what he thought would be the end of his life at the hand of one he had deceived. But my purpose for Jacob was not yet fully realized, and I confronted him personally in a way he could not ignore. Like you, he feared he would lose all that had become precious to him. Like you, his desperation became faith in my Presence. Like you, he strove for independence. Like you, he discovered dependence upon me. Like you, I left him with an ever-present reminder of his dependency. Like you, I protected him and used his life to advance my purpose. Like you, I made my claim on him clear.
Genesis 32: 28
“Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have won.”

May 28
You asked me to examine you and to reveal the impediments lodged tightly or hidden from your own awareness. Your heart is tender and ready to obey with confession and repentance. Keep your attention upon me, not what you think I will find or what it may cost to remove it. My purpose is to prepare you for greater discovery of my wonder and majesty found only in obedience and surrender. Trust me.
Psalm 139:23-24
Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
Isaiah 26:8
LORD, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.

May 29
I have shown you that closeness to me... remaining in my presence, learning of me intimately, is essential to your well-being. Release your foolish pride and arrogant insistence on controlling your life. I made you, and you are transparent to me. I know when you worship me with your whole heart and willing mind, and when you don't. I know every plan and thought. Come... seek me, and you will always find me and the plans I have for you.
1 Chronicles 28:9
And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

May 30
I have gifted you with the ability to see the beauty and color of my creation and with the skill to record it. Take care to intentionally honor me with these gifts. Remain in my Presence as you use them, and I will reveal ever more wonder. It is my story that you tell in the art, and my Spirit that guides the telling.
Isaiah 6:3
And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!”
Psalm 19:1-4
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world.

May 31
I have placed the assignment before you, and I will guide you to its completion for my purpose. Because it and you are mine, and because your job is to look to me even as you engage the various tasks to which I will guide you, the pressure to discover, perform, and achieve is on me, not you. Your job is to show up each day, place the tools of talent, energy, thought, and ability in my hands, and act as I direct. I will take care of the rest... I really will.
1 Chronicles 28:20
Then David continued, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. He will see to it that all the work related to the Temple of the Lord is finished correctly."

April 2026

April 1
The people who gathered to hear me that week came knowing they needed something more than just religious rules. They wanted life and hope. My presence and words met that need—and they still do. You come to me with nothing of lasting value except your need for me. Admit the pretense as you surrender everything you have built to define yourself. I will meet you there with my definition of love, peace, and confidence. You will understand my reality and my blessing as I open your mind and heal your heart.
Luke 21:37
Every day Jesus went to the Temple to teach, and each evening he returned to spend the night on the Mount of Olives. The crowds gathered at the Temple early each morning to hear him.
Matthew 5:3
“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.”

April 2
There were two notable failures among my trusted men that night. One man was restored, the other was lost. This morning, I note them to you not to review their failures and motivations, but to ask you to reflect on your own. Just as I examined those two men, I examine your heart and understand its true intent. I know the fear you hide and the bravado you display. What I also see in you is a core longing to honor me. That is what I urge and will bless. That is what defines you and rises above any failure. That is what I will build upon. So, take courage and stand again today, look for Me—expect Me.
Luke 22:1-3
The Festival of Unleavened Bread, which is also called Passover, was approaching. The leading priests and teachers of religious law were plotting how to kill Jesus, but they were afraid of the people’s reaction. Then Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve disciples, and he went to the leading priests and captains of the Temple guard to discuss the best way to betray Jesus to them.
Luke 22:34
But Jesus said, “Peter, let me tell you something. Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.”

April 3  Good Friday
You know about my suffering that night in the olive grove before the arrest. I allowed you to understand the intensity of what I knew was about to unfold. My human body was pushed to its limit, so much so that I feared I might die there, and an angel was dispatched to strengthen me. You know of the “cup of suffering” that I dreaded more than anything else. That cup represented my Father’s wrath that I would endure, separated from Him for the only time in eternity as I took on the full consequence of sin to settle a debt. You also know—it was your cup.
Luke 22:42-44
“Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”  Then an angel from heaven appeared and strengthened him.  He prayed more fervently, and he was in such agony of spirit that his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood.

April 4  The Silent Saturday
On that Saturday, the Sabbath in Jerusalem, as was the tradition, the city slowed considerably—no commerce, minimal movement. Families gathered, ate, prayed, and rested. Scripture and remembrance of God’s past faithfulness filled the entire day. The cross on the hill was stained and empty. My body had been placed in a sealed tomb. There was quiet tension and confusion as messianic hopes seemed to have died with me.

My men were hidden behind closed doors in Jerusalem. They were scared, grieving, and unsure, not yet expecting a resurrection. Peter was silent. The women were resting but getting ready to carry out their quiet burial ritual the next morning.

It was a day of silence, absence, and suspended hope. God seemed silent, and history held its breath. Yet, Sunday was coming.

John 19:30
When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.

Luke 23:49
But Jesus’ friends, including the women who had followed him from Galilee, stood at a distance watching.

Luke 23:55-56
As his body was taken away, the women from Galilee followed and saw the tomb where his body was placed. Then they went home and prepared spices and ointments to anoint his body. But by the time they were finished the Sabbath had begun, so they rested as required by the law.

April 5 Easter Sunday
That was the greatest message of hope about me ever delivered and the foundation of your faith. From two of my angels to three of my friends, “He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead!”
The last part of their message is your assignment. Remember what I said and tell everyone else what happened.
Luke 24:1-8
But very early on Sunday morning, the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes.
The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.”
Then they remembered that he had said this. So they rushed back from the tomb to tell his eleven disciples—and everyone else—what had happened.

April 6
You accept the reality of my resurrection in the peaceful understanding of the long story. But that day, my followers experienced it only in the context of my death and burial. Their shock as I walked in the room is understandable. In fact, I am as real to you as I was standing with that group of stunned friends. You have the advantage of knowing everything they were about to fully understand. You are equipped with my Spirit just as they would soon be. Each of those men would spend the rest of their lives sharing what they had seen and heard from me. So will you, if you have the courage to follow me. What may I expect from you?
Luke 24:36-45
And just as they were telling about it, Jesus himself was suddenly standing there among them. “Peace be with you,” he said. But the whole group was startled and frightened, thinking they were seeing a ghost!
“Why are you frightened?” he asked. “Why are your hearts filled with doubt? Look at my hands. Look at my feet. You can see that it’s really me. Touch me and make sure that I am not a ghost, because ghosts don’t have bodies, as you see that I do.” As he spoke, he showed them his hands and his feet.
Still they stood there in disbelief, filled with joy and wonder. Then he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”  They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he ate it as they watched.
Then he said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.

April 7
I don't send you out to imitate me... I guide you to imitate me. Do you see the difference? It is at the core of what I meant when I invited you to follow me. I am always right beside you, even when you are not aware of it. Practice effectively following today. You should stay close, just at my shoulder. Move as I move. Keep your spirit-eyes on me. At first, it might take some focus, but it will become second nature with time—like dancing through the day with me. Do not worry, I know everything that’s expected of you. Trust me. This is how I made you. I think you’ll like how it works.
Philippians 4:9
Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

April 8
I understand you arre frustrated with your seeming inability to stay in position with me. Let me reassure you. You never had that ability. No one does. Such strength comes solely from me to you through my grace. It's a supernatural gift applied to your willingness and determination to follow me on my terms. Following me requires your constant focus. When you take your eyes off me, our unity is broken, you fall out of step, and stumbling happens. Your frustration shows you're trying to rely on your own strength instead of mine. Come closer and lean on me. I am your strength.
2 Corinthians 4:7
...but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
Isaiah 40:30-31
Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.  But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.  They will soar high on wings like eagles.  They will run and not grow weary.  They will walk and not faint.

April 9
You will feel sharp harsh wind pushing against you today. Yet you will step into it with confidence because you know that you are beside me and that I know the way. Not only do I know the direction, I also know the path, each safe step placement, and...this is very important for you to keep in mind...I know the outcome of today's experience, how it plays into my plans for you and others, and the outcome of your journey. The only job you have is to hold tightly to my hand. I have the rest of it.
Psalms 73:23-26
...I still belong to you; you hold my right hand.  You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny.  Whom have I in heaven but you?  I desire you more than anything on earth.  My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart;  he is mine forever.

April 10
I long for the expression of pure gratitude for all I am doing for you...not because I need it, but because of what it signifies has happened in you. Your praise and thanks tell me that you understand our relationship...that you know I am the Creator, Master, and Commander and that you are not. Your praise is evidence of humility in you, and I respond to that humility with more of myself in and around you. It is the perfect definition of our relationship and allows me to lead you fully into my plan for you. Keep it up...it is music to my ears!
2 Chronicles 5:13-14
The trumpeters and singers performed together in unison to praise and give thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, they raised their voices and praised the Lord with these words:  “He is good!  His faithful love endures forever!”  At that moment a thick cloud filled the Temple of the Lord. The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple of God.

April 11
You face a difficult thing. I have already equipped you with the skill you need for this task, and my wisdom is freely given. It remains for you to seek Me for it and to apply the skill all under the direction of my Spirit. Remember, I did not provide all this to you so that you can attempt the work on your own initiative or strength. I lead you into and through the task. Remain in my presence constantly. Thereby you will experience fulfillment beyond your imagination, even in this.
Mark 1:17
Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how . . . ”

April 12
We have come to one of those times in our journey together that I have chosen to cause your need for me and my way to intensify. I love you and have not left you, nor have I neglected your needs. But I have withheld a portion of that with which you have become accustomed. I am stretching you...your faith, your understanding, your dependence, your trust...for a purpose that will become clear to you in time. It is discipline, not because of something you did, but to prepare you for something you will be doing.  Come closer...trust my sufficiency.
Deuteronomy 8:3
Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
Joshua 22:5
But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul.

April 13
Our relationship is built on my love for you...not because you deserve it, but because I choose it so. I gave my love fully and completely in my sacrifice for you. My love does not ebb and flow with the variables of your life. It is constant, limitless, and dependable. Our relationship is complete when you love me in return. Right now, I am among the loves of your life. Fullness and abundance in your life...in every relationship and every experience...will come when I am the love of your life.
Matthew 22:37-38
Jesus replied, “ ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.”

April 14
The questions you raise about how to accomplish what I have set before you are very human and natural. Return to the position I taught you—humbly surrendered in my presence, seeking me…not a solution… regarding the matter at hand, confessing and repenting of the sin I reveal to you. It is a position of faith in which your fear and anger will settle into the assurance of my promises. I am directing you. I am providing wisdom.
Isaiah 11:2
And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
Psalm 37:23-24
The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.

April 15
You have known and experienced my promise through these many years. It is no less effective in your life now than it was then. Look at each word and allow your faith to rise as my Spirit freshens and impresses them upon you. These are gifts of my determination for you. Accept each as a treasure and watch as I wash out the troubling fear that so easily distracts you.
Psalm 37:3-6
Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.

April 16
You asked to be alone with me in the raw magnificence of my handiwork. You heard quiet. You absorbed beauty. You felt colors. You breathed purity. You knew alone without loneliness. Old eyes became like those of a child. You saw light slowly fill dark voids as intricate design emerged and diamonds sparkled in the water. In a fleeting moment, your heart swelled. Then the day began.
Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.

April 17
Most of your attention is on your emotions and behavior. But most of my attention is on how you think, how you interpret and process the things you encounter. I am teaching you to view each experience through the lens of my reality and my requirements, to interpret experiences through my Spirit rather than the patterns and traditions of your history—to change the way you think. Viewing life through my eyes changes everything. It changes the way you understand things. It changes the way you respond emotionally and behaviorally. I am performing a lens replacement procedure, transforming you into a new person by changing the way you think.
Romans 12:2
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Ephesians 4:23-24
Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

April 20
You are of great importance to me. I created you with purpose—my purpose, translated to you and adopted as your own. I love you more than you know or can imagine. I know every detail about you, even know how many hairs are on your head. I invested skills, knowledge, and experience in you as tools for the work I have assigned. I have fortified you with spiritual gifts that complete and fulfill you as you work out my influence among those I bring into its circle. I did all this out of love. You can trust me to lead you in this assignment. Stay close. There is much more to show you.
Psalm 139:13-14
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Matthew 10:30
But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
John 3:16
For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

April 22
It is a complicated matter about which I have made you aware and have given you understanding. I have not done so that you might rush into the details to provide a remedy, but so that you might seek me for my way to be discovered and enacted. I make that distinction pointedly. Your responsibility is to intercede with me for the situation through prayer. Limit your prayer to seeking me about what you know. Deny the speculative actions into which you easily wander. I will let you know if, when, and how you are to act otherwise.
James 4:3
You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.
Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

April 23
Before we move from these moments today, you must attend to the work of confession and repentance. I have made the issue clear. My Spirit is already at work, drawing you to this important clearing and to forgiveness. But the obedient response remains with you. You will find that my Spirit will rush into your surrendered “yes.”
Hebrews 3:13
But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
Jeremiah 7:3-7
This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says:
“ ‘Even now, if you quit your evil ways, I will let you stay in your own land. But don’t be fooled by those who promise you safety simply because the LORD’s Temple is here. They chant, “The LORD’s Temple is here! The LORD’s Temple is here!” But I will be merciful only if you stop your evil thoughts and deeds and start treating each other with justice; only if you stop exploiting foreigners, orphans, and widows; only if you stop your murdering; and only if you stop harming yourselves by worshiping idols. Then I will let you stay in this land that I gave to your ancestors to keep forever.

April 24
You will teach today about my way in matters of life and business. First, you must experience the effectiveness of being in position with me—not simply in position but fully tuned in position. You recall the sound of the racing engine from so long ago. When you heard it, you knew the engine was finely tuned, with all parts perfectly coordinated. So it must be with you before you enter the day. Start with confession and repentance of being out of perfect tune. Seek me for the perfect and powerful tuning you know is possible. Accept my forgiveness and receive the tuning I perform through the gift of restoration.
2 Chronicles 7:14-16
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place. For I have chosen this Temple and set it apart to be holy—a place where my name will be honored forever. I will always watch over it, for it is dear to my heart.

April 25
It grieves me that you look at people in a biased way, judging and assigning value based on comparison and contrast. By that bias, you find some valuable and others less so. You cater to the greater value and ignore the lesser. You manage all this quietly, well hidden. No one knows but me and the one of lesser value. It is evidence of distance from me, out of position, of pride and self-interest. This is my conviction of sin and my urging. Now, you must respond with confession and repentance and receive my forgiveness and restoration to the position for which you are designed—one that reflects my character and genuine care for others. Or you will ignore my warning and continue the drift. What, then, will be your decision?
Romans 5:8
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

April 26
You asked to know more about faith and trust. I love you and am answering your prayer. I have deliberately led you into unfamiliar territory. When we journeyed in familiar surroundings, you enjoyed running ahead of me, relying only on your own experience and ability. At times, you would run into places where it was hard for you to hear or see me, and the lostness frightened you. Here, the turns and what lies beyond them are unknown to you, and your ability to move safely now comes only from me. The lack of control is unnerving, yet I am guiding you. I supply enough illumination for each next step and have swept away things that would trip you. You are learning afresh to trust me, and each moment’s decision to trust builds your faith to trust in the next moment. I have you and will never leave you.
Isaiah 42:16
I will lead blind Israel down a new path, guiding them along an unfamiliar way. I will brighten the darkness before them and smooth out the road ahead of them. Yes, I will indeed do these things; I will not forsake them.

April 27
I, and I alone, am your Lord and Master. Look to me and confess that truth freshly again this morning. As you do so, my reality will envelop you. It is the “putting on” of the new man and the armor so essential to the journey. And it must be done consciously daily—often multiple times a day. It is the truth that draws your eyes, ears, and mind to me, thus guarding and strengthening your human vulnerabilities. It also aligns you with my purpose and mission among people in a way of my design and intent. Yes, look at me and confess the truth of all that I AM.
Isaiah 43:1-4
Look at my servant, whom I strengthen. He is my chosen one, who pleases me. I have put my Spirit upon him. He will bring justice to the nations. He will not shout or raise his voice in public. He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle. He will bring justice to all who have been wronged. He will not falter or lose heart until justice prevails throughout the earth. Even distant lands beyond the sea will wait for his instruction.

April 28
I know the intent of your heart is fixed on me. Renew it with daily confession of my love and authority. Everything else flows from there—faith, trust, love, peace, confidence, guidance, wisdom—the full array of my characteristics, all available to you. What you know as life is a limited journey with its wonder and challenge. What I know as life is eternal and boundless. You will experience it. For now, I AM the Source of everything you need. Confess it and remain in my Presence.
Psalm 73:22-26
I was so foolish and ignorant—I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you. Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.

April 29

My grace is all you need, for my power is most effective when you admit your weakness and your need for me. In those moments, my power works in you and through you without the resistance that is so often part of your nature. It is then that you experience the fullness of my love and strength. As you follow me, you are learning that I do not simply provide resources...I am your resource.
2 Corinthians 12:9
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
Psalms 18:1-3
I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and he saved me from my enemies.

April 30
I know your heart and your desire to understand me. You know my expectations are extreme, as are my promises. I told you from the first that I would show you how to meet and experience both. Such has never been dependent upon your strength and ability. Rather, the experience I offer is completely dependent upon your obedient response to my directions. Beyond that, I AM your Source for the discipline and obedience required. You see, apart from me, you can do nothing. Your honest and humble surrender to me is the way to the effectiveness you desire.
Revelation 3:15-19
I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.

March 2026

March 1
Review your motive. Do you ask me to see my name glorified and my kingdom expanded, or to feed your need to be recognized? It is a subtle difference that only you and I know, for the effectiveness of your effort is observed by others and applauded. Indeed, I led you in that effort and empowered its effectiveness. My question is not about the work. It is about the motive behind it, and you know the answer. In truth, it is mixed…some for you and some for me. I expect the integrity of your devotion to be sound. Confess your fear to me. Surrender to my Spirit’s work in you…to scrub and polish your humility to reflect me properly.
Ephesians 3:20
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

March 2
As with another of my followers at another time, I have lifted the fog and allowed you to see clearly how I have conducted you safely for so long, provided for you in ways you could not have achieved by your own means, and established you with abilities and influence you still do not fully comprehend. Breathe deeply today in my presence and in the awareness I have granted. Do so with the sure knowledge that as I have done in, around, and through you, so I will continue to do as your assignment unfolds. Move with me in confidence today.1 Chronicles 17:16
Then King David went in and sat before the Lord and prayed, “Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?
1 Chronicles 17:18-20
What more can I say to you about the way you have honored me?  You know what your servant is really like.  For the sake of your servant, O Lord, and according to your will, you have done all these great things and have made them known.  O Lord, there is no one like you...

March 3
It was nearing the time, the annual celebration in Jerusalem, just over a month away. My purpose was clear, as was the cost. The appointment I was to keep on that cross, and the horror that I would experience to pay the penalty for all humanity’s sin, was almost more than I could bear. Yet it must be. Because of that appointment and the price I paid, and your belief that I did so, you are free. What will you do with that freedom today? If you are willing, I will direct you provide adequately for what I direct. You must decide and ask. I will wait.
Luke 9:51
As the time drew near for him to ascend to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.

March 4
As I journeyed south on the last trip to Jerusalem, I spent many hours teaching the men of my expectations. They are high. What I expected of them and expect of you, I empower through my Spirit. I knew their intentions to honor me, just as I know yours. I also understand the struggle with human distractions and limitations. But when you yield to my Spirit, you receive the power to overcome those limitations so you can follow me on my terms. All you have to do is ask. Here is the secret: I live in you.
Luke 9:61-62
Another said, “Yes, Lord, I will follow you, but first let me say good-bye to my family.”
But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.”
Matthew 22:37
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
Colossians 1:27
. . . And this is the secret: Christ lives in you . . .

March 5
My kingdom continues to expand there. I have allowed you to see my work in your city as I have gathered and assigned people to specific tasks over the past 40 years. The story is in the faithfulness of those chosen—understanding what they believed and why, and who willingly received my power to influence and expand my influence in business, education, government, families, music, art, sports, even in rigid religion. I am at work. Seek me, follow me, trust me to continue these assignments. I AM—expect Me.
Luke 10:1-2
The Lord now chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them ahead in pairs to all the towns and places he planned to visit. These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.

March 6
What will you do with what you have learned? Yes, it is an experience you can reflect on and find encouragement in. But there is more—purposeful and intentional—that will come. Seek me with the question I raise. Allow my Spirit to search and direct your heart, preparing you for an extension of the assignment that has shaped you for so long. With the experience comes the responsibility to seek me for its next application. Blessed are the eyes that see what you have seen. Trust me with “next.”
Luke 10:23-24
Then when they were alone, he turned to the disciples and said, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you have seen. I tell you, many prophets and kings longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it.”

March 7
You know this part of my story well. On my way south to Jerusalem on that last trip, the religious experts were working hard to discredit me. One of them asked what he intended as a trick question, “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”

I replied,  “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?”

The man answered, “ ‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

“Right!” I told him. “Do this and you will live!”

The same applies to you today.

Luke 10:30-37
30 Jesus replied with a story: “A Jewish man was traveling from Jerusalem down to Jericho, and he was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him up, and left him half dead beside the road.
31 “By chance a priest came along. But when he saw the man lying there, he crossed to the other side of the road and passed him by.32 A Temple assistant walked over and looked at him lying there, but he also passed by on the other side.
33 “Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him.34 Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him.35 The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins, telling him, ‘Take care of this man. If his bill runs higher than this, I’ll pay you the next time I’m here.’
36 “Now which of these three would you say was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by bandits?” Jesus asked.
37 The man replied, “The one who showed him mercy.”
Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.”

March 8
Much is on your mind, yet you ponder rather than ask. I shape your thoughts during moments of reflection, but I bring them to life when you intentionally seek my presence with an open will and sincere requests. The difference lies in your level of intentionality, which affects your spiritual vitality and experience. It is your reliance on me by faith that I observe and in which I bless and favor you. You are learning to enter such a place, and I am teaching you how to dwell there.

March 9
It is not always “bad” things that distract you from me. Most often, it is the pressure of responsibilities and the expectations you place on yourself. The real issue is the distraction that pulls your attention away from me. You are built to do both, much like listening to your favorite music while you work. It is possible to be present with me and handle your affairs at the same time. It all comes down to your priorities and intentions, which require a decision. In truth, when you are away from me, you choose to be so. Confess the truth and come back to me.
Luke 10:38-40
…a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing.

March 10
The fact that I prayed often should instruct you. Those years in human form, I was separated from the holy intimacy of my heavenly home. Prayer was my connection there. It is the same with you. Prayer is a gift that brings you into my presence and allows us to commune. You commonly plug a device into its power source to enable its function. Apart from the recharge, it will gradually lose power and die. It is so with you. The liveliness of my Spirit in you is essential to your effectiveness and, ultimately, to your life. Prayer into my presence is your refresh and your power. Do not neglect prayer.
Luke 11:1-4
Once Jesus was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of his disciples came to him and said, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”
Jesus said, “This is how you should pray: Father, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. Give us each day the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation.”

March 11
I led the team south to Jerusalem with only a few days left to live. I knew what was ahead, but the men did not. My teaching grew more urgent as we approached our final destination. I taught them how to pray, and now I emphasized diligence in prayer. What they were about to experience would overwhelm them for a little while, and the threads of my teaching would be all they had to hold on to. You are familiar with difficulty and lack of resources. It drives you to me. Learn diligence that spans hardship and remains in ease. Ask, and keep asking. It defines our relationship. Trust me.
Luke 11:9-10
“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”

March 12
When you are in proper position with me, you will understand the spiritual context in which you walk. You will discern the prevailing influence in that moment and place, whether mine or the enemy’s. In that instant of awareness, lean closely into me. Actively seek me for the extension of my influence and the expulsion of evil. Either way, it must be my power at work, not yours. You are not able to go head-to-head with evil. Your responsibility is to witness my act and celebrate it. Should I assign a follow up action to you, I will lead you to respond obediently and direct your steps.
Luke 11:20-22
But if I am casting out demons by the power of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you. For when a strong man like Satan is fully armed and guards his palace, his possessions are safe—until someone even stronger attacks and overpowers him, strips him of his weapons, and carries off his belongings.

March 13
With only weeks to live, I was open about my identity and purpose. Traditions blinded the religious elite from understanding. My men came to grasp my identity but misunderstood my purpose to be a political and military deliverer in the context of Roman rule. Only later, in the illumination of my Spirit, did they fully understand. You have the whole story and my Spirit, and you confess the truth of it all. Yet, with all that light, you shade it so that you might blend in. It is time to lay aside your fear and remove the cover. Let my full light shine.
Luke 11:33
“No one lights a lamp and then hides it or puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house.”

March 14
The closer you come to me and the longer you stay in my presence, the more your will and thoughts are shaped to my way, and the sharper your interests will stand out from the values held by the culture around you. My priorities will become yours, and my nature will define you. Some might see that change as a loss of self to religion, but you will experience it as a joyful discovery of yourself guided by my Spirit—a process where love, peace, and confidence replace fear and anger that once defined you.
Luke 11:37-39
As Jesus was speaking, one of the Pharisees invited him home for a meal. So he went in and took his place at the table. His host was amazed to see that he sat down to eat without first performing the hand-washing ceremony required by Jewish custom. Then the Lord said to him, “You Pharisees are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy—full of greed and wickedness!

March 15
I have opened doors in your culture, and the opportunity to speak of me and my way will last for a season. Stay in my presence and make good use of this time. Speak directly and openly of my promise of salvation and effective living. Do not be distracted by political ventures or popular topics. Trust me and speak of what you have seen and heard on our journey together.
Luke 12:2-3
The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!

March 16
In this season, I am promoting my influence widely. As I am received among people in an ever-widening range, some of high human authority will seek to use my influence or to bend my message to gain power among the people. I will reveal the truth of their action to selected ones among my people. Pray now for those I select to challenge the human authority—discernment and courage to speak effectively.
Luke 12:11-12
And when you are brought to trial in the synagogues and before rulers and authorities, don’t worry about how to defend yourself or what to say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what needs to be said.

March 17
You have followed me faithfully all this time, yet you still worry about having enough to sustain you. Have you ever wanted? Did I ever fail to provide? Does the changing context somehow negate my ability? Come back into my presence and release your concern. As I have led you through each transition, so I am leading you now. Your job is to focus on me and my direction. As your action is required, I will reveal and empower it. I always provide for what I direct. Expect it.
Luke 11:21
Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.
Luke 12:31
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.
Luke 12:34
Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

March 18
I will return for my people. Expect me, but do not look at the current context and speculate as to when my return will be. No one will know. I alone hold that decision. If you die before I come, it is good. If I come before you die, that too is good. Either way, you are mine, and your eternity is secure. Your responsibility remains unchanged. Therefore, live in expectation and hope, remain in my presence, hold to my promises, and respond to the direction of my Spirit.
Luke 12:35
Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning . . .
Luke 12:40
You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.

March 19
Focus on the work I have assigned you—diligently, as time is short. Double your efforts and use your influence while your strength and ability last. I will empower you and guide your efforts so you can experience the results you hope for. Trust my wisdom and discernment in how you invest your time. Some will respond—some will not. I will show you when to move on.
Luke 13:6-9
Then Jesus told this story: “A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed. Finally, he said to his gardener, ‘I’ve waited three years, and there hasn’t been a single fig! Cut it down. It’s just taking up space in the garden.’
“The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer. If we get figs next year, fine. If not, then you can cut it down.’”

March 20
As we traveled south on that final trip to Jerusalem, my heart was attuned to the needs of those who sought me out. The religious traditions imposed on them were superficial and offered no hope. I deliberately broke through meaningless traditions to tend to their needs. You will face situations driven by family, business, or political customs that will test your commitment to follow me on my terms, and a choice will have to be made. Will you follow me or conform to your tribe's ways? I will clarify the decision, but you must make the decision.
Luke 13:11-16
He saw a woman who had been crippled by an evil spirit. She had been bent double for eighteen years and was unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!” Then he touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised God!

But the leader in charge of the synagogue was indignant that Jesus had healed her on the Sabbath day. “There are six days of the week for working,” he said to the crowd. “Come on those days to be healed, not on the Sabbath.”

But the Lord replied, “You hypocrites! Each of you works on the Sabbath day! Don’t you untie your ox or your donkey from its stall on the Sabbath and lead it out for water? This dear woman, a daughter of Abraham, has been held in bondage by Satan for eighteen years. Isn’t it right that she be released, even on the Sabbath?”

March 21
You have seen and recognized the expansion of my Kingdom in your city. It has happened as men and women said, “Yes” to my assignments. Through that response, my Spirit has flowed, influencing decisions, guiding actions, and drawing individuals toward an understanding of my way. Some of those assignments have been quietly carried out; others have had more dramatic effects. All have contributed to spreading my blessing and authority there. So, a single “yes” to me is like a tiny seed planted in a garden that has grown into a tree, continuing to expand its shade.
Luke 13:18
Then Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? How can I illustrate it? It is like a tiny mustard seed that a man planted in a garden; it grows and becomes a tree, and the birds make nests in its branches.”

March 22. From 2019.03.22

Do you believe? It is an important question. After all this time and all you have seen, do you finally believe? I know the answer that is in you. So do you. Yet, you allowed two things to fog the issue. You took the weight of a situation fully upon yourself, and it was heavier than you expected. It distracted you from me. You also allowed prideful anger to influence your thoughts. That also distracted you from me. Thus, my question—do you believe? I am the way, the truth, and the life. Do you believe it, or are you going back to the do-it-yourself approach? I know the answer. Follow me as I have taught you.
John 16:31
Jesus asked, “Do you finally believe?

March 23
There is a part of you that anxiously desires recognition and praise from those you see as honorable and authoritative. It is a fear that becomes a motivation and is evidence of pride—a vulnerability the enemy will try to exploit. Confess it to me and stay close as I direct a need for significance into a longing for me and my way. Doing so, I protect you and teach you the power of humility that will fully satisfy your need. It is a heart adjustment that will seem perfectly natural and deeply meaningful.
Luke 13:22
Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he went, always pressing on toward Jerusalem.
Luke 14:1
One Sabbath day Jesus went to eat dinner in the home of a leader of the Pharisees, and the people were watching him closely.
Luke 14:7-11
When Jesus noticed that all who had come to the dinner were trying to sit in the seats of honor near the head of the table, he gave them this advice:
“When you are invited to a wedding feast, don’t sit in the seat of honor. What if someone who is more distinguished than you has also been invited? The host will come and say, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Then you will be embarrassed, and you will have to take whatever seat is left at the foot of the table!
“Instead, take the lowest place at the foot of the table. Then when your host sees you, he will come and say, ‘Friend, we have a better place for you!’ Then you will be honored in front of all the other guests. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

March 24
I expect exclusivity in your life. It seems extreme because the prevailing sense in your culture is to accept complacency in my name, to set me as a lesser priority in their lives if at all. But my teaching is clear: anyone claiming my name must accept responsibility for honoring me above everything else. Expect me to challenge spiritual mediocrity within you. Confess it. Come humbly surrendered into my presence, seeking me for the courage to exclusively love me with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. When you do that, you will find it necessary to let go of lesser things. I will provide the wherewithal to do so.
Luke 14:26
“If you want to be my disciple, you must hate everyone else by comparison—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:33-35
“So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own.”
“Salt is good for seasoning. But if it loses its flavor, how do you make it salty again? Flavorless salt is good neither for the soil nor for the manure pile. It is thrown away. Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!”

March 25
Follow me to people who do not understand my way. I have prepared many to hear my story and promise. If you are willing, I will arrange an introduction and give you the right words for the moment. Their need to know me is certain. Your willingness to follow me to them is the real question. You have a decision to make. I will wait nearby.
Luke 15:4-7
“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!

March 26
Seek me diligently for the one now on your mind whose heart is locked by fear. My Spirit is at work there, and I direct your participation by prayer. Take no action other than to trust my power to break old chains and restore. This is one of those times when your “doing” is prayer alone—an instruction in faith for your learning and joy in the moment of restoration that will come.
Luke 15:8-10
“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Won’t she light a lamp and sweep the entire house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she will call in her friends and neighbors and say, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.”

March 27
I have observed your money management for a long time. Your emotions fluctuate with resource margins. Fear rises when margins are low, and discipline wanes when margins are high. I have many plans for you, but I have held while I continue to teach you faith, trust, and Spirit-led stewardship of the resources entrusted to you. Come humbly surrendered, seeking me as I cultivate faithful balance within you. That balance and trust will open doors.
Luke 16:10-13
“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own? No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

March 28
It is good that you seek my guidance and plan for you. However, my plan is not a mystery that you must fret and ponder. I have written most of it clearly and left it in my book for you. The other parts—those made specifically for you—I have already placed within you. Always remember, your understanding of my plan and your closeness to me are connected. As you learn to delight in being near me and in experiencing all that I am in you—seeing through my eyes, hearing through my ears, understanding with my mind—I shape and plant the desires of your life. When you are following me on my terms, you can do as you wish, knowing I have given, bestowed, created, and placed into you those desires. Your only task is to follow me. I will handle the leading. I love you.
Psalms 37:4
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.

March 30
Intentionally seek me on behalf of those who have heard of my way and rejected it. My Spirit will guide you and equip you with awareness, insight, and the courage necessary for effective engagement. I will have prepared the individual to whom I point you. When the moment comes and upon your “yes,” My Spirit will flow into your obedience, shaping your mind and will as My influence heals and transforms another heart. Come near and watch in readiness.
Luke 19:41-42, 44
But as he came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, he began to weep. “How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes…because you did not accept your opportunity for salvation.”

March 31
That last week with my students, I noted the gift of a poor widow to emphasize my point about the heart I require in my followers. Be aware of the difference between empty religious traditions and sincere worship. These traditions, having long lost the heart of God, are only meant to preserve themselves with tokens and fanfare. True worship seeks Me and is characterized by Spirit-directed humility and surrender to My way. Understand this: every step you take away from my Presence is a step toward religious pretense. Acknowledge it and return to your proper position.
Luke 21:2-3
While Jesus was in the Temple, he watched the rich people dropping their gifts in the collection box. Then a poor widow came by and dropped in two small coins. “I tell you the truth,” Jesus said, “this poor widow has given more than all the rest of them. For they have given a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she has.”

February 2026

February 1
You have asked for important things, and I have heard your request. Remember that the timing of my response is mine, not yours. I am answering according to my plan, which involves many aspects. I know that you want instant. You know that I want complete. Complete includes time as an important ingredient. So, it is good to wait quietly for the salvation that I bring. Keep watching with patient confidence that I am at work and that I cause everything to work together for the good of those who love me and follow me. It is Shalom.
Lamentations 3:25-27
The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him.  So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.  And it is good for people to submit at an early age to the yoke of his discipline.
Romans 8:28
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

February 2
Keep your attention on me. I have your future. I have assigned you, equipped you, and provided for you.  Know this... what you long for is unfolding in ways you are not aware of. I am teaching you to find your sense of significance in me. It is not an easy lesson, for it is contrary to your nature. But as you learn, you will teach... it is part of your assignment. Take care not to dwell on how I might be working in another's life. Other than to celebrate my work wherever and however it occurs, it is not your business.  Turn your attention back to me, for there you will find your contentment and your joy. Follow me. It is your only job.
Psalms 73:2-5
But as for me, I almost lost my footing. My feet were slipping, and I was almost gone. For I envied the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness. They seem to live such painless lives; their bodies are so healthy and strong. They don’t have troubles like other people; they’re not plagued with problems like everyone else.
Psalms 73:21-26
Then I realized that my heart was bitter, and I was all torn up inside.

February 3
You are not alone in this journey. I am your power and effectiveness for the task. I have also surrounded you with others on similar assignments with similar challenges. I am the power and effectiveness for each of them as well. Be careful not to neglect the encouragement that my Spirit will produce among you all. Ask me to open your eyes to this wide resource of fellow journeymen. Seek me for the rich experience of fellowship.
Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.
Romans 12:4-5
For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

February 4
Call upon the spiritual resources I place around you. Open the book and absorb my words. Share discovered insights with another journeyman. Venture into my presence and test my promises. I did not build you for the independence you have come to prize. Break its increasing hold on you. Invest in interdependence among others on this journey. You will find my Spirit drawing you to the fellowship of believers around you. Yield to it. There you will find my favor.
Colossians 2:2
I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself.

February 5
Do you remember the small stream you saw flowing out of the mountain valley? Do you remember, hundreds of miles away, seeing that same stream, now a wide thundering river carving its way through the massive canyon? Do you remember learning about the wide expanses of land and the many cities I supply with that river? The story of my work, which I am revealing to you, is like that river. Seek me to learn of all its tributaries and its power. I am guiding you as you discover the story.
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Acts 4:20
For we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.
Deuteronomy 4:9-10
“Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children's children— how on the day that you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, the Lord said to me, ‘Gather the people to me, that I may let them hear my words, so that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children so.’

February 6
You have lived with my promises for a long time and have found them more than sufficient at each turn of your life.  My armor and protection have become part of your experience.  I did not promise the absence of difficulty or challenge, for it is that which sharpens your awareness of need for me.  My faithfulness is the story you share and the source of your confidence, even in fearful moments when you cannot see the way ahead.  You have learned that I make the way.  You follow me.
Psalm 91:4-6 …His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday.

February 7
I am addressing the issue you brought to me. I have not been unaware or uninterested. Indeed, I know it well, every detail, all the background, every thought, and every raw emotion. I was waiting for you to bring it. I could ask why it took you so long, but I know that as well. I require your humility and surrender in these matters, and your judgmental pride remained between us. I was waiting for you to love another despite the unloveliness to which you continued to point. Your heart was the issue, now resolved. So, press forward, seek me for continued restoration, and watch.1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us.
Philippians 2:3
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.

February 8
You ask about the meeting and the arrangement of thought and words that will bring my point to bear. You have also inquired about the key decision you must make and the risk that appears to be associated with it. So we come to the heart of our journey. Do you sense the peaceful, easy feel of these moments? You have been in my presence not just to ask a quick favor and leave, as has so often been the case, but to remain here... following attentively, aware of our closeness as we coursed the day. Here is peace. Here is knowledge and wisdom. Here is protection. Here is grace. Here is courage. Here are answers and resources. You know I will lead you in the meeting, and you are aware that I have already formed in you the decision you will act upon tomorrow. Remain in my presence.
Psalms 121:5-8
The Lord himself watches over you!  The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.  The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night.  The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life.  The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

February 9
You ask about the workpiece now completed – whether it honors me. Yes. Now I will show you how to polish it and use it effectively. You know your tendency to run ahead of me. Take care to stay by my side, keeping your eyes on me, so that time and energy are well used. The story you are telling is mine, and it will be applied to my purpose. I am the author, and you are the writer. Trust me. You will remember these days with wonder.
Proverbs 2:1-5
My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

February 10
You are borrowing worry from the territory ahead... speculating on the unknown, on what might be in this or that circumstance. There should be a contingency plan, you say. If you were responsible for the controls, I might agree. Here is a point to remember. I own the future, and there is nothing about it unknown to me. So contingencies are not part of my order, and fear has no place in your thinking. Its presence indicates that your pride and will to control are back. You do not know how you will manage the scenario you are speculating about, and you are afraid. It is an unwise use of your time. Seek me, not your plan. I will show you the way forward and provide for each step.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10
But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.

February 11
When you confessed your pride and repented of it, the anger vanished like a fog lifting. Peace and clarity replaced the errant thought and emotion. You noticed it later in the day and spoke to me about it. Still later, I opened your mind to a fresh way of expressing the point you intend to make. All that was My Spirit urging, directing, and ordering. Many things, like that prompt to anger, can trip you up on this journey. Stay close.
Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

February 12
Study the objective that seems so intimidating. Take its measure. Understand it. I will be with you as you do so. Apart from me, that objective and all that so critically depends upon it will seem far beyond your ability to meet it. Do not fear it, for I am with you. I am leading you. Do what I tell you to do when I tell you to do it, and you will experience the victory you seek.
Judges 7:9
That night the Lord said, “Get up! Go down into the Midianite camp, for I have given you victory over them!
Deuteronomy 20:1
When you go out to fight your enemies and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid. The Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you!

February 13
Your mind is filled with rushing thoughts and pulled away from me. Confess it and receive my peace. If that busyness were thirst, you would go find water. Similarly, my Presence is the quench for a distracted mind. Come find me. It is that simple. Turn your thoughts to me. Seek me. Invite my Spirit to fill and cover. It will be like opening a door to a fresh, gentle breeze as I displace the tumbled rush with order and confidence.
Isaiah 26:3
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

February 14
Stand with me on the high point and look back. I want you to recall the moment. You were excited about the opportunity, but you did not know the challenge it would pose or how quickly you would learn just how deep the waters would be. It was the day you turned to the new assignment. I was with you, teaching you to depend upon me in unknown territory. On this day, looking back at that one, your perspective is well informed of my grace and mercy along with my wisdom and protection. I said, “Go.” You said, Yes.” It is still the right answer.
Isaiah 1:2-5
And the Spirit of the LORD will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. He will delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay. He will give justice to the poor and make fair decisions for the exploited. The earth will shake at the force of his word, and one breath from his mouth will destroy the wicked. He will wear righteousness like a belt and truth like an undergarment.

February 15
Do not mistake my requirement for a broken spirit as destruction or uselessness. Nothing could be further from the truth. I speak of brokenness as that which has become tender and pliable in my hands—yielded, able to be shaped to my purpose. It is a conscious and constant understanding that I am, and you are not; that I can, and you cannot; that I have, and you do not—a driving realization of your need for me and a driving determination to seek me and be in my presence. That is what I choose to bless. Your brokenness in my hands becomes strength is an undeniably effective tool for my purpose.
Matthew 5:3
God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
Isaiah 64:8
And yet, O Lord, you are our Father.  We are the clay, and you are the potter.  We all are formed by your hand.

February 16
When I look for someone to whom I will assign an important task, my judgment is not swayed by how charismatic or attractive that person may be or by a full resume of accomplishments.  I am interested in the character of the person and the condition of the heart.  By that, I mean the willingness of that person to follow my instructions with responsive obedience, fully committed to me and of humble spirit.  I look for integrity—one I can trust with my things.  Upon that person, I will grant favor and grace.  Though social light may never shine upon them, my face will.
1 Samuel 16:7
…The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
2 Chronicles 16:9
The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him…

February 17
Open your eyes to those around you. Needs abound. Pull your attention from yourself and seek me on behalf of the names I now bring to you. In fact, I am flooding you with awareness. Reinvest what I have invested in you. The freshness you miss cannot be regained through inward attention. Rather, it is the interest yield of your investment among others. My Spirit is conforming your will and shaping your thoughts into my will. Move through the open door, sense the fresh breeze, and trust me.
Philippians 2:3-4
Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
1 John 3:17-18
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

February 18
You remember the moment and what you asked of me. You know that I directed you to pray for those who gathered. I am working out my purpose in each of them, and my influence is strengthening in and through each as they learn to follow me. You were their age when you asked to understand my way and my power. You have been seeing that prayer answered ever since. There is more before you—unanswered questions and complex issues. Be encouraged by what I showed you. Lean in closer. Listen carefully. Follow me, for I am answering your prayer.
Ephesians 3:20
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

February 19
I am pleased that you are thinking about my sacrifice and gift. Revisit the story of my agony in the garden that night. You considered asking me to grant insight into those moments, but the intensity frightened you. Come back—I will guide you to understanding and protect you from its full weight. I desire that you grasp the turmoil at the intersection of my divine objective and the frailty of my human spirit. I wrestled with it in agony that night. Yet that intersection was the point—the surrender of one will to the other within myself. My humanity was the sacrifice required by my divinity. It was the only way to clear you of the penalty of sin.
Luke 22:41-44
And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray, saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.” Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him. And being in agony He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground.

February 20
Speak of hope to those I bring to you. They hurt. Your experiences— the hard places we have traversed—have prepared you to speak of my provision. The moments I establish with another in pain are precious, for they have come to you to find me. Usher them to me. My lovingkindness will never cease, and my compassions will never fail. Lead them into my presence. I will demonstrate my faithfulness to you both.
Lamentations 3:20-24
Surely my soul remembers and is bowed down within me. This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.”

February 21
It will always be bigger than you, but it is never bigger than me. That to which I direct you will require your obedient action by faith. On that day, my students followed my instructions to prepare for a meal, though there was no evidence of food. On this day, I will direct you to act with no evidence of resource other than me. Obedience will require a level of faith you do not yet possess. Your decision will be to obey or to walk away. I will remain silent regarding resources. This is about obedience, faith, and trust.
Luke 9:13-16
But He said to them, “You give them something to eat!” And they said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless perhaps we go and buy food for all these people.” (For there were about five thousand men.) And He said to His disciples, “Have them sit down to eat in groups of about fifty each.” They did so, and had them all sit down. Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed them, and broke them, and kept giving them to the disciples to set before the people.

February 22
Instructions on how to live my way are in the book I preserved for you. Those words are mine, powerful beyond your imagination. They are sharp like a knife, able to cut into your very being and expose your innermost thoughts and desires. Expose your mind to my words. I will translate them into your depth of understanding and demonstrate my power for living as I bring them to your awareness along the way. They will be like light in darkness, shelter in the wind, and a map that shows the way. Follow me. I will show you the power of my words.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

February 23
Trust my promises with the same awareness and confidence you place in the laws of physics. When you walk on pavement, do you not expect the surface to support you? When you sit in an airplane, do you not expect the craft to fly? Yet you cannot see or control the tension in the pavement or the force of the air beneath the wings. My instructions, expectations, and promises are the keys to life. Fulfilling the assignment I have given you depends entirely on your willingness to place the full weight of your hope on me, surrendering every ounce of your capability to my control. I will teach you the ways of wisdom and lead you in straight paths to the result I have purposed. Trust me, and follow.
Proverbs 4:11-13
I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. When you walk, you won’t be held back; when you run, you won’t stumble. Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life.
Psalm 23:3
He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.

February 24
There are many enticements on this road that have no part in my way. In fact, some could destroy you. But I have chosen to let them stay for now that you may learn. They will vie for your attention, some so strongly that you will think them irresistible. Remember, the enticements have no power if you keep your eyes on me. Guard against anything, good or bad, that distracts you from me. Should you become distracted and entangled with an enticement, you will not be able to disentangle yourself. I love you and I am your way out. Look to me. Reach for me. Confess the sin. The tentacles will fall away. I am your commander, your guide, your teacher, your provider, and your protector. Keep your eyes on me.
1 Corinthians 10:13
The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

February 25
Study my way about prayer. There is much more to learn. Seek to understand why I spent time with the Heavenly Father while I was among you. Sacrifice your will to control and, by that sacrifice, discover the wonder of surrender into the fullness of my strength and care. Why do you fight it so? Have I not taught you? Have you not touched the edges of my Shalom promise? Truly, you are more comfortable with your fear and pride than you are with my grace. I will use you, but you must first embrace the sacrifice I appoint.
Luke 9:23
Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”

February 26
For a man to die for his own sin is understandable from a human perspective. I became human to interrupt that certainty. For a sinless man to die for the sins of all mankind throughout history is beyond human comprehension. Yet that is what I did. As I neared the time, the frailty of my humanity to bear the enormous burden of my divine purpose became evident. Prayer brought me into my real home. There, I was strengthened for the final piece of my mission. Your needs are real, and they weigh heavily at times. I understand, and I will strengthen you. Pray and remain in my presence.
Luke 9:29-31
And as he was praying, the appearance of his face was transformed, and his clothes became dazzling white. Suddenly, two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared and began talking with Jesus. They were glorious to see. And they were speaking about his exodus from this world, which was about to be fulfilled in Jerusalem.

February 27
You have walked with me for a long time, and I have taught you much. I have allowed you to witness majestic displays of my power in situations that seemed impossible. At times, I have given you insight into what I will do and have allowed you to speak of it so that others might be encouraged toward me. Take care with two matters of great importance. Be sure that when you speak of me or my work, people see me, not you. And in those moments, be sure you point to my purpose among you—redemption from sin through my sacrifice and resurrection.
Luke 9:43-45
Awe gripped the people as they saw this majestic display of God’s power. While everyone was marveling at everything he was doing, Jesus said to his disciples, “Listen to me and remember what I say. The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of his enemies.” But they didn’t know what he meant. Its significance was hidden from them, so they couldn’t understand it, and they were afraid to ask him about it.

February 28
You ask about ambition—achievement, accruals, recognition, and authority. It is a very human pursuit. I created you with a high need for significance, fulfilled only by the rise of my culture in you, my nature, my mission, my ethic, and my reality—a created need perfectly filled by your Creator. Yet pride emerges in you and drives your ambition, the impostor substitute for me. Do you not think me strong enough to provide what your self-indulgent pride pretends? Perhaps you think I need your help to achieve my purpose. You know better. What I require is your surrender.
Luke 9:46-48
Then his disciples began arguing about which of them was the greatest. But Jesus knew their thoughts, so he brought a little child to his side. Then he said to them, “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me also welcomes my Father who sent me. Whoever is the least among you is the greatest.”

January 2026

January 1
I made clear that what you experienced is by my hand. Respond to that understanding with a confession of gratitude that it is my plan at work, not yours. You are my follower, but your will and mind can easily take you ahead of me, rushing into the shadows of ambition and old patterns. You will always find me quietly waiting for you to return to my presence. The territory ahead is well known to me, and you can trust me with the journey. The key to your effectiveness is to remain in my presence, responding to the gentle direction of my Spirit communicating through yours, shaping your will, forming your thoughts, and guiding each step.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

January 2
As I began my work directly among people those many years ago, my first command to those I chose as my closest friends and students was, 'Follow me.' That command applies to you as well. The relationship I promise and all its benefits are contingent upon your full compliance with that one simple command. Your obedience is not something we negotiate. It is not a mutual compromise. It is you turning from your agenda and fully embracing mine. It is you yielding completely to me, period. Those are my terms. I love you more than you can imagine, but I do not negotiate.
Luke 9:23-26
Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but are yourself lost or destroyed? If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels.

January 3
What did you learn from the encounter? The men you engaged are not defined by their condition or by the style of their clothing, nor by what appeared to be the absence of means. Their character was revealed in their eyes. Do you recall the word that rose in your mind as you spoke with them? Was it not “dignity” in one and “weary hope” in the other? They each belong to me, and I have a purpose for each. Your role in that encounter was to learn more about me, my mission, and my love. Did you play your role properly? Did you honor me in it? Let those questions linger in your mind.
Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

January 4
The characteristics I expect to mark your life are gained only in nearness to me. I note a tendency in you to try to self-generate my desired characteristics while living at a distance from me. You have found those efforts to be ineffective and frustrating. The notion of keeping a friendly distance from me to allow you margin to roam will not do. I chose you to be holy. That will only occur in my direct presence. Come near and remain there. I will dress you in the love, mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience that I require of you. You will find it a natural fit and a natural reflection. Your only responsibility is to remain in my presence. I will take care of the wardrobe.
Colossians 3:12-14
Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.

January 5
You asked about Spirit-directed living. In that regard, be assured that the idea rising in you is from me. I have given you a name. Remain in my Presence, keeping that one before me as I continue my work in each of you. I will mature the idea in you and, in a short while, initiate action. Resist the temptation to run ahead of me on your own initiative. I will cause you to know what to do and when to do it. You will experience the markers of life informed by My Word and empowered by My Spirit . . . wonder, peace, and confidence. My friend David expressed it well…
Psalm 66:5
Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.
Psalm 139:14
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Psalm 136:4
To him who alone does great wonders, for his steadfast love endures forever;

January 6
I have given you the illustration. Remain in my Presence for the words that will surround it. You are the custodian of my story that you witnessed. Telling it in a way that is received and understood is a function of my Spirit and your mind as I lead you and the others in crafting it. As it develops, remember this . . . it is not about the experience of a group of men; it is about the discovery of my way of living. Your experience is simply the context in which the story of my way emerged . . . a parable.
Psalm 78:1-4
O my people, listen to my instructions. Open your ears to what I am saying, for I will speak to you in a parable. I will teach you hidden lessons from our past—stories we have heard and known, stories our ancestors handed down to us. We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD, about his power and his mighty wonders.

January 7
Ask me about the man you will meet today. Invite me to reveal anything in you or in him that interferes with my purpose for the meeting. Enter the meeting fully in position . . . humbly surrendered in my presence, seeking me intently regarding the transaction about to occur, confessing and repenting of any matter of sin that I raise. Thus, you will be tuned to my Spirit’s direction as the meeting proceeds. Your interpretations of what you hear from him will be sound, your responses wise, and the outcome consistent with my intent. You will have experienced a Spirit-directed meeting.
Isaiah 11:2
And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

January 8
I taught you how to pray. Now, turn your attention to me and allow my Spirit to shape the issue you are dealing with into a prayerful petition. Dwell on my identity, holiness, and authority as they relate to the issue. Trust that my plan will be fully carried out in the matter, and renew your surrender of opinion and attitude in favor of my will and action. Relax into my daily provision of wisdom, insight, understanding, and actionable thought. Ask for my forgiveness for the specific sin I bring to your awareness. And, in the reality of my forgiveness, readily exercise forgiveness of others as I bring situations to your mind. Consciously seek and rely on my protection from distraction, temptation, and failures that separate us. As you pray, you will experience a lifting of anxiety as peace, confidence, and clarity emerge.
Matthew 6:9-13
Pray like this:  Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.  May your Kingdom come soon.  May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.  And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.

January 9
I answered, not as you expected, but clearly. I know your concern about time. Remember, time, the message, and the messenger all belong to me. Rest assured that I will deliver what I have assigned to you. Your job is to remain in my Presence, always aware of distractions, tendering them to me for handling. I will arrange the freshness of mind and clarity necessary to the task. My Spirit is actively leading you. You follow me as I show you how this is done.
Mark 1:17
Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”

January 10
You are correct. This one is hard. A human heart, hardened over time, takes on the character of ragged, sharp granite. Powerful chains of fear and self-deception seal it further. You wonder if even my Spirit is denied access. But even as you record that thought, you know it cannot be true. Recall my words. Nothing is greater than my power and love. Put the weight of your concern on that truth, and remain in my Presence, seeking me to crack granite and shatter chains. That hardened heart is in my hand. Trust me with it.
Matthew 19:26
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Ephesians 3:19-20
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
John 15:5
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

January 11
You are learning. It is astoundingly simple. My promise is infinitely dependable. I rescue those who love me. I protect those who trust me. I answer those who call. It is the way of life to which I have drawn you, and you have found that it applies to every aspect of your life. Your experience with me confirms the simplicity of following me on my terms, not without challenges, but with peace and confidence in my presence and ability to lead you through the challenges to effective conclusions. I have this, and you know it.
Psalm 91:14-15
The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.”

January 12
I know you feel the weight of this assignment and your responsibility for it. Translate that concern into a confession of your need for me. I am the author of this task and the refiner of its completion. I will provide for it. Take comfort in our long journey together. Much of it has been uphill and against the wind. Did I not provide all you needed for each step? Did I not gift you in unexpected ways, beyond what you could even imagine? Expect the same now. Stay in my Presence and experience this assignment on my terms.
Matthew 5:3
God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
Psalm 145:15-16
The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it. When you open your hand,
you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing.

January 13
Come in and talk to me again about the people and projects that have ongoing needs. Some of those needs seem like the distant mountain you photographed . . . big and static. But if you had been on that mountain, you would have seen evidence that it is always shifting. It is so with the matters that you bring to me. I am at work crafting, breaking, restoring, and creating according to my purpose. Your job is not to watch the clock but to receive my faith and reinvest it into trust. Bring that trust to me as your offering. You will find that I transform it much like I did with the water into wine that day so long ago. Your faith to trust to hope to evidence of my power. Yes . . . come talk to me again about those needs.
John 2:7-10
Jesus told the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” When the jars had been filled, he said, “Now dip some out, and take it to the master of ceremonies.” So the servants followed his instructions.
When the master of ceremonies tasted the water that was now wine, not knowing where it had come from (though, of course, the servants knew), he called the bridegroom over. “A host always serves the best wine first,” he said. “Then, when everyone has had a lot to drink, he brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the best until now!”

January 14
Ask me for the wisdom you need. Each matter before you presents a challenge unique to the situation, yet common in that all are under my dominion. I place them within your assignment to emphasize your dependence on me. If you approach any of these challenges alone, they will continue to frustrate you to the point of failure. But if you approach me with them, humbly surrendered and confessing my authority, you will experience the wherewithal to navigate each successfully. Come and bring the challenges with you.
Matthew 5:3
God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
Matthew 5:5
God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth.

January 15
Your pride is showing again. You are impatient, even though I have outlined each step you are to take. You know I am leading, yet your nature is to run ahead. It is too easy to trip and get lost out there alone. Remain with me and learn as we go. You will find that your peace and effectiveness both rise. Take a deep breath and trust me with the process and the outcome. I have this.
Matthew 5:3
God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
Matthew 5:5
God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth.

January 16
Do not attempt this on your own. Devote yourself to prayer and thank me for the needs that drive you into my presence. It is there that your mind and spirit are fully enlivened. It is there that you realize my purpose in and through you. It is there that you find shelter from the onslaught. It is there that you regain your strength. It is there that you receive my peace. It is there that I reveal the next step. It is there that I give you the courage to take it. Prayer is your conduit to me. I designed you with a need for me and the ability to reach for me. Do not attempt this on your own.
Colossians 4:2
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

January 17
Assembling my armor must be part of each day. You know the difference between days you start with it in place and those when you fail to do so. It is spiritual protection against spiritual attack. It is real and essential. Rise before me and allow my Spirit to place and secure each part . . . truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, My Word in you. Intentionally remain in my Presence by the power of my Spirit as you navigate this day's responsibilities. When it is done, you will be standing firm.
Ephesians 6:10-13
A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

January 18
Be still and stay with me. I am still forming your thought. Your inclination to step away to check on another task is your compulsive nature at work, and it will compromise your experience of my purpose in these moments. It would be like leaving a fuel station with the tank only half full. The next task will wait, and I will lead you through it later. Reflect on the two concepts I placed before you and seek my connection of the pieces. One is a foundational, and the other is its application. My Spirit is revealing it now.
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

January 19
Influence is both powerful and fragile. I have given you influence as a tool, and I will direct you to apply it as we move forward. Its power for my purpose or its fragility is directly related to your reliability to me and to those with whom I direct your engagement. Your internal spiritual fidelity...your genuineness in relation to me...and your external reliability are directly linked. Be sure both are submitted to the direction of my Spirit.
Proverbs 25:19
Putting confidence in an unreliable person in times of trouble is like chewing with a broken tooth or walking on a lame foot.

January 20
What did you learn from me yesterday, as you listened during the gathering and later as you assembled your thoughts into words? You saw hopeful people with needs you will never know. Your awareness that needs are present is enough. Allow that discernment to season your words so that the thoughts you convey are more than information about me. They must become a comforting ointment of understanding, care, and hope. That is why I assigned you to this matter. Trust me as I lead you thought by thought and word by word.
Matthew 10:19-20
When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
Isaiah 30:21
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

January 21
Pray for your friend. You rightly sense the tension. It is not necessary to address the cause, but it is necessary to recognize the need. Allow my Spirit to shape and guide your prayer. Draw near and seek me on his behalf. Trust me with the healing and the restoration. If other action is required, I will guide you. Stay before me and trust my promise. I appoint great power to your prayer.
James 5:16
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Galatians 6:2
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

January 22
Stay in position with me, in my Presence. I am building the assigned task, thought by thought, as you seek to know my way in each element of the project. Expect the clarity you need. My Spirit is translating my intent into your consciousness. As you remain in position, you will find that time and creative thought emerge and flow in an exquisite dance of My favor and blessing.
1 Corinthians 2:12-13
Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.

January 23
The peace you seek is found only in me. Seek me, therefore, and trust that I prevail over evil and discord as you empty yourself in surrender and pray with determination to be in my presence. As you move closer to me, I will reveal the sins that must be confessed so you may be clean before me. I will also guide your prayer for peace and show you how to maintain it personally and around you. I watch for you to reach for me. Pray, seek, and receive my blessing of peace.
1 Peter 3:10-12
For the Scriptures say,“If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers.

January 24
I offer you rest and peace. The burden is heavy, but you need not carry it. Give it to me. You need only ask and release it. Not only will I take the weight of the issues that concern you, but I will also take your weight… supporting you as we climb this mountain together… clearing a path, guiding each step, carrying you when your strength fails. Yet even in the face of this great need, you still struggle against me. You are thinking about what you believe is your responsibility, and your pride rises. Surrender even that to me and receive my peace. Experience the confidence in my ability.
Matthew 11:28
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”

January 25
I watch as you stack the expectations on your shoulders, each like a heavy stone that bends you with every addition. You cannot move with all that. After all this time, do you still forget I am here, that I invite you to give me the weight? What drives you so? You know the answer, and you know I freed you from it long ago. Lay those things down at my feet. Most are not relevant to our work, and I will carry the few that are. All you need to do is walk peacefully and confidently beside me. This mountain is not so steep after all.
Matt 5:3
God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

January 26
The words and thoughts are my gift to you. The events, some of which are hard to recall, are evidence of my work to shape and protect you. I am with you now as you recall them and record what you learned of me. The journey then and its lessons inform the journey now and the need for faith, hope, trust, and love in the territory ahead. Embrace it all, for that is how you became uniquely you. Tell the story.
Psalm 139:13-16
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

January 27
You asked for clarification of the assignment. I am providing it and will continue to do so. You must consider whether you are willing to receive it. You must lay aside preconceptions and seek my Spirit’s direction. I will show you how to weave the many threads. You cannot do this apart from me. Ask me. I will provide all that is needed.
Ephesians 3:16
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.

January 28
Did you notice how easily you were distracted from me this morning? Your to-do list became more important than I. Take a breath and let me reset your mind and will. The stakes of this day are too high for you to go out underprepared. Actively invite my Spirit to apply my intended focus as I guard access to your attention. Do you sense it? You are now thinking about me, back in my presence. There is a wonder to it, a peacefulness, a confidence that keeps the busyness at bay. Dwell here a moment longer as I tighten your armor.
Psalm 62:1-2
For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.
2 Samuel 22:31-33
This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. “For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? This God is my strong refuge and has made my way blameless.

January 29

Pray for your friends during today’s meeting. Stay in my presence as it unfolds. You know how…listen to the speaker with your ears while leaning into me with your heart. I will interpret what you hear and guide your response. Remember, it is all part of my work and falls under my jurisdiction. My Spirit will cover the proceedings. Your job is to follow me…quietly.
Luke 12:11-12
And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.

January 30
Worry is an indication of your failed attempt to control your environment...something I have not designed you to do. Your option is to yield to that for which you are designed...turn fully to me. When you make that turn, I will come to meet you and gather you to my side. There, in my presence, you will find it natural to tell me everything...needs, experiences, hard places, and lighter things. You will find it easy to thank me for who I am and what I have done. Then, in the exceptional peace that surrounds you, your mind will open to what I will teach you about following me and remaining in my presence. Total surrender to my grace is the way to the victory you seek.
Philippians 4:6-7
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

January 31
I have given you insight into my work around you. It is far-reaching and spans a very long time, much longer than you imagined. Indeed, your mind cannot grasp my holiness and majesty, reaching from eternity to eternity. But you can understand what I have revealed for my purpose, and I will guide its telling. Remain surrendered in my presence and seek me. Your effectiveness in this will not be in your strategy. It is found in me. My throne in you is occupied by my Spirit, and I will direct your thought and shape your will. Expect it.
Colossians 1:27
For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.
